Deer Classic

Anthony's Buck this year was on display in the Deer Classic which takes place at the MN State Fair Coliseum. 

His Buck was entered into the Record Book for the State of MN, it will be in next years print. He also won a ribbon.

Congratulations Anthony!

The crew went out there to check it out. By the way...in the pictures Jaiden does not look very happy, it was just the moment. He actually did enjoy it and have a good time. lol

Evan and the Ram

Well...when Evan and the Ram go head to head...the Ram wins. 

It was a beautiful day out, the kids were playing in the pickup bed with the tailgate down. Evan came around the corner and what I can only assume is he is looking at the bumper thinking it is time to turn. The problem is the tail gate was there. He bonked it, went down to the ground. He cried a little but nothing major. 

We then packed up the bikes and went to Jennifer's place. While out playing in the sunshine Evan walked around the truck and did the SAME THING!! 

Only this time the Ram bit back. He had a nice gouge in his forehead and ended up with 4 stitches. 

With the medicine they put on the wound to numb it up, by the time they put the stitches in he sat and talked to the nurse and doctor during the procedure. He did so good.

College

On another note...Anthony just applied for Century College today. He is going to stay local and attend the local community college.

Kids are great!

At breakfast a short discussion between Alexia and Evan...

"Evan, look at your arm?" Alexia asked.

Evan says as a matter of fact..."I'm a tiger." 

He had colored stripes on his arms to be like a tiger!

This afternoon asking the kids to clean their room...

"Dad, Jaiden is cleaning his room!" Evan says. 

"Maybe you should help him."

"Why?"

"Part of it is your mess too." 

"Ohhhhhh" Evan says...he runs off to his room and says as a matter of fact "Jaiden, this is alllll my mess."

lol

So the one question, did the room get cleaned? Ha! Jaiden took it as he is done and of course Evan picked up a couple items and considered the job done.

Patio

Well...I have been planning a patio for years and it is finally coming together. 

The hot tub? Found on Craigslist, I could not pass it up. The price was right, it was well maintained, it works and it came with a lot of extras such as the cover, GFI Breaker, Electrical wire, conduit, chemicals, the manuals, etc. The pictures you see here is of the hot tub in my garage.

Wed morning I am meeting with the owner of a Concrete company. We are meeting on Wed to go over what it is I am looking for. The estimate right now is a 12' x 30' stamped and painted patio with footings to hold the pergola. We are working out a pretty good deal on this which I will go into detail more after I meet with him on Wed. We have tentatively planned an exchange which I hope to finalize Wed. 

The fire pit? I bought a new fire pit from Menards a year ago. I watched the price drop from over $200 to under $100 as it was during the fall. I could not pass it up so I bought it and it has been in storage since. It is still new in the box. So this would be a good addition to this new patio. 

A water fountain? Well...I would love to have some sort of water decor besides the hot tub that is. I am working on the fountain attached to this blog entry. It is just over 3' tall and it is only $35. Yet another Craigslist deal.

Now I need to find materials for the pergola and the privacy screen. 

Fun times.
