Hockey

Listening too Dirt off your shoulder

Jaiden makin goals!! He has really excelled in Hockey, it is his 2nd year skating and his 1st year in Hockey. He started out getting 8-10 goals per game when the entire team is scoring maybe 11-12 goals. This is with no goalie. As the year has progressed they now play in positions which he is playing right wing. So he is not getting the puck as much as he is supposed to stay somewhat in his position...this game he scored 3 goals and made 4 saves. He LOVES the game!

Of course the rest of us FREEZE watching him!! :)

Holidays

I have spent the last 2 hours shopping for Christmas.

That's right. My goal is to get shopping done early, the presents mailed out early so I don't have to worry about it. A couple years ago I procrastinated and spent $75 in shipping! Blech.

Anyway...I found this lovely gift; The Flying car.

It is a street legal car that in 30 seconds can turn into a plane?!! Just what everyone needs. haha

Oh my.

Update

Listening to: Bitter:Sweet

What a crazy fall it has been. The Fair was busier than ever this year. As most of you know we moved out of the food building and into a new home for us with a trailer and a 20'x20' building in the back. The crowd loved us and we again had lines extending out into the street.

It is hard to say what our next venture might be now that we are mobile. There is talk from our end about potentially other State Fairs. A few being discussed include California, Iowa or Wisconsin (they overlap), Massachusetts and potentially Oklahoma. Personally...I would love to do the circuit.

Another topic getting a lot of discussion right now is the Twins Stadium. All I can say at this time is we have sent a letter to the Twins and we are looking forward to discussions with them; most likely after the World Series. :)

My other job has been frantically busy. We are in the process of moving an entire data center with hundreds of servers out of MN to Chicago area. No, this does not have an impact on my job, in fact it might help solidify it because there will need to be more interaction between the customer and the teams in Chicago. We also have another large project taking a LOT of my time. I am averaging 12 meetings a day!!! The last 2 days I have had 14 meetings each day. How does one possibly attend 14 meetings in a day? I don't, because I can't.

Kids are back in school now. (long pause here). Wow. Homework nightly for 2, dance 3 times a week (Alexia), hockey twice a week for Jaiden (so far). It is CRAZY. I work, I shuttle kids to practices and I try and feed them in between, help with homework where we can fit it in. Next thing I realize...I had not done Laundry forever and we are running out of clothes to wear?!! Oh yea, I guess we need to do laundry too. I need a night shift. lol.

I know those of you with kids have been there and done that. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT complaining, I love it. The kids love it. :)

On top of all this...I have asked Jennifer and Ryan to move in! Big news here!! So we have also been painting her place, packing her place, emptying her place, cleaning her place (although she has been doing most of this with her family)...why? Because I have been....did you read above? lol I have also been cleaning out the spare room here, moving Anthony into that room, cleaning out his room, cleaning out the laundry room, moving my office downstairs, cleaning out my bedroom, the list goes on and on.

I am ready to clone me. haha.

Jenn and I recently went to Duluth for my cousin's wedding (Heather & Ryan) Congrats!! It was GREAT seeing all the relatives. It seems few and far between for me to get up north for some of these events. We are planning on going up for the next one in Dec.

Sorry no pics this entry, maybe next one.

Hopefully it will not be as long before I update again. Until then...CYA.

Lightning

I captured this lightning on video and then took pictures from the start of the lightning to the finish. Here it is in sequence.

Enjoy.

Rainbow Lightning

As the storm passed by a Rainbow appeared. The kids and I went out to enjoy the view and I noticed behind the rainbow was the storm which had a lot of lightning. I took a video and captured lightning in the video and then took a snapshot from the video. Here are the results.

Before & After

~ Jeffery

Hot Tub

I could feel the cool breeze as it slipped through my hair,
the light mist of rain falling on my face.

It was dark, the lightning bugs flashing in the field across the pond,
the sounds from crickets and frogs and the night animals coming alive for the evening.

The sights and sounds joined with the mist in the air made for a mystical night.

I was in my own little world, relaxed, fully enjoying my new hot tub.

It was wonderful!

PBBR

Well...I have no pictures as I am too tired to hook up the video camera, play with the video, upload the video, etc. The Pickle Bucket Boat Races (PBBR) is coming up soon - June 19th.

Anthony and I took our 2nd version of our yacht out in the pond today. It floated?!! We went in on the South end and went across the pond to the North end; a success.

The kids watched, cheered us on and Alexia took video.

We still have some work to do but we at least have a floating concept.

Trailer

We are getting closer. I believe the above is very close to what we are looking at for a trailer at the MN State Fair.

  1. Pickle guy is finalized as our character. He needs a name yet but he is final.
  2. Our new name is final - The Perfect Pickle.
  3. Our logo is final - can be found in the very middle of this image with company name and pickle guy from #1.
  4. We are very close to finalizing the look of the trailer.
There is still a lot of work to do but we are making progress.
