Long Time Coming...

I guess I have not updated my blog in a while, like almost 5 months.

A LOT has happened in the last 5 months...

My heart goes out to Sheba. Her legs were getting bad to where she could not go up and down the steps anymore and she struggled walking even as she was no longer aware of what her back legs were doing. One of the difficulties I had was that mentally she was just fine. She was 14 years old though and we put her to rest.

One of the hardest parts for me, which I have not shared is the other memories it triggered. As I layed there holding her as they put here to sleep, which was hard enough, it brought back memories of holding Nikita the same way and worst yet holding Amanda the same way.

I miss you Amanda, Nikita and Sheba. :(

Let's move on to happier times....

The kids are all doing great and we have been busy with dance 3 nights a week, hockey twice a week, Karate once a week and now baseball 3-4 nights a week. We love seeing the kids in their extra activities!!

School is almost over for the summer and I am looking forward to spending a lot of time with the kids. Luckily for me I get to spend a LOT of time with the kids this summer as I am no longer working with my previous company of 23 years. It was a shock to me...but let's move on. ;)

I feel busier now then when I had a job?!! Now I know what my Dad means when he talks about being busy even though he is retired. I am LOVING it though.

The pickle business has taken quite a turn. The same 3 guys doing the State Fair started up a new venture where we make our pickles (similar to the Fair) but then we freeze them and sell them to bars/restaurants. This is why I am not looking for another job. I have been SOOOOOOO busy with this venture as we basically are started a manufacturing business which we are finding takes a lot of time and effort.

We love it and it is going very well. Even my Dad is out pushing pickles periodically. :) Love that guy!

That is enough for now, more to come another day.

Take care,

Jeffery
