Hats off to Teachers! As I try and help my kids with their homework, it is so frustrating to me. I don't know how teachers do it. A gift it must be.

Bench, Table and Patio

I am a Craigslist fanatic. One day I decided I should have a patio in the front yard so I could sit and sip my beverages while watching the kids play. It also is a good spot to entertain the neighbors.

Here are some pics of the patio...

Between the brick, the sand, the patio chairs (cushions are in the garage and it also came with 5 chairs, table and umbrella), the rock and the wood which I made the bench and table out of and finally the firepit I think I have about $130 into it.

Snow!

I let the dog out today and she came in with white on her back. So far it is not sticking to the ground but they say in NW MN they could get up to 1/2" of snow.

The kids are excited and are already bundled up and playing outside.

Hopefully, we will get a lot of snow this year and we can build some large snow sculptures!!

Books

It was the cutest thing. The kids wanted to write a book and they did. They each had a notebook and started filling up pages for their book. I thought how cute would it be to actually have them bound like a book. So I told them both to make a cover with a title and then we made a trip to the local OfficeMax.

A couple color copies, a few bindings and many copies later we had 6 books from each kid. They are cute and depending who you are, you may just get a copy. ;)

I have wanted a pick up all my life. At one point I had one which was a Ford Ranger. Not the small Ranger pickups you are probably thinking of but it was about a 1979 Ford Ranger which was the size of a full size truck. It was as they say however rusty but trusty. It was an older truck but worked great for the times. I don't recall why but ended up getting rid of it. Back to cars.

For the last 2 years I have been looking into trucks again. Not seriously but seeing what's out there and what do I like. Well the other day I finally took the plunge. I had my eye on a Chevy Colorado. Do things ever turn out the way you think they will?

Instead I ended up getting the one style that I have consistently searched for and that is a Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab. I love it. I will also say though, I also love that gas prices have come down.

Starting Over

I am a terrible blogger and I don't even know why I am starting yet another blog. It makes me laugh. I guess in life there are times when you have to start over. I know as I have been there. This I guess is another one of those moments. I looked at the last blog I was writing in and it was last updated 12/27/07.

So why start another one now? Why not post to the old one? Who ever knows. Life can be strange. I will even link back to my old one which will allow you to see many more pictures and stories but as for now I feel the need to start fresh.
